The Challenge

Client: Mid-market fintech platform, ~800 employees, Series B growth stage.

The client needed to expand their engineering team by 12 contractors within 8 weeks to meet a product launch deadline. Their internal team was at capacity, and they'd experienced poor results with big national staffing firms that sent unvetted candidates. They needed people who could integrate quickly into existing sprints and technical culture without ramp-time overhead.

DASH2's Approach

We mapped their open roles across backend engineering, infrastructure, and QA and pre-vetted 8 candidates against their technical stack and team dynamics within the first week. Rather than flooding them with resumes, we conducted depth interviews, reviewed code samples where relevant, and presented candidates aligned specifically to team strengths and gaps. We also aligned on contract-to-hire terms for 3 of the 12 roles, giving them flexibility to convert strong performers to permanent.

Results

All 12 contractors were placed within 4 weeks. 8 of the 12 remained beyond the launch window and expanded into related projects. 3 converted to permanent hire. Average time-to-productivity was 5 business days. The product launched on schedule, and the client expanded the engagement into a quarterly staffing relationship for ongoing sprint support.

Timeline: Initial contact to full team deployed: 4 weeks. Ongoing engagement: 18+ months.
